TEST DESCRIPTION

A healthy heart screening is used to detect the health condition of the heart. The heart screening package is a set of eight profiles to identify the risk of any heart disease. Lipid profile test Liver function test Kidney function test Electrolytes Complete blood count (CBC) with Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) Fasting glucose Urine examination routine Urine examination microscopic People who require the screening include: those who experience signs and symptoms of any heart ailment those who are aged 35 and above those who are at risk of cardiac disorders such as family history of heart disease, high blood pressure The common signs and symptoms of heart disease include high blood pressure, palpitations, difficulty in breathing, increased fatigue and dizziness, pain in the arms(mainly left arm) radiating towards the shoulders, etc. The above tests confirm whether a person is suffering from any heart ailment. Early detection and treatment helps to reduce the risk of cardiac diseases. The test requires blood and urine samples. The individuals should fast for 10 to 12 hours before collecting the blood or urine sample. People who are at risk of heart disease must undergo heart screening atleast once a year. The healthy individuals must undergo heart screening every three years to help prevent the disease progression.
